Apply to be on the City of Edmonton’s WAVE Committee

Why join the City of Edmonton's Women's Advisory Voice of Edmonton?

Here are 4 reasons:

  1. Share your perspectives and advise Edmonton City Council about gender-based issues and opportunities.

  2. Meet and work-with women and gender-diverse people who share your interests and concerns.

  3. Bring your unique perspective and ideas to the table.

  4. Promote leadership development to empower Edmonton women to fully participate in civic life.

The application window is now closed for the 2026 recruitment campaign.

Membership appointments are made by City Council. This year, our new member(s) will be appointed in April 2026.

Members will be required to commit to approximately 8 to 10 hours per month for attending meetings and working on projects that will require collaborating with members on the WAVE Committee.

The Committee meets on the third Tuesday of the month from 5:30-8 p.m. Meetings are held in person at a location downtown.
